FILMING RESUMES ON AMAZON MGM STUDIOS' LIVE-ACTION TOMB RAIDER SERIES

Filming has resumed on Amazon MGM Studios' live-action Tomb Raider series, according to a report by TMZ. Production was previously paused after British actress Sophie Turner sustained a minor injury on set. The delay is not expected to affect the overall production schedule.

Amazon MGM Studios and Crystal Dynamics announced plans for the live-action Tomb Raider series in May 2024, with filming commencing in January 2026. Sophie Turner stars as British archaeologist and adventurer Lara Croft, leading an ensemble cast that includes Sigourney Weaver, Jason Isaacs, Celia Imrie, and Bill Paterson in the latest screen adaptation of the iconic video game franchise.

The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios in association with Crystal Dynamics. The executive producers include Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Jenny Robins for Wells Street Films, Dmitri M. Johnson, Michael Lawrence Goldberg, and Timothy I. Stevenson for Story Kitchen, and Michael Scheel for Legendary Television.
