The footage, described by the studio as an artifact for all digital archaeologists in the Tomb Raider community, showcases early mechanics, level design, and gameplay sequences, offering a rare view of how the title began to take shape during its production under Crystal Dynamics' stewardship.

This release forms part of the broader celebrations marking the thirtieth anniversary of the Tomb Raider series, underscoring the enduring cultural and commercial impact of Lara Croft over three decades. In sharing this archival material, Crystal Dynamics honours the legacy of Tomb Raider Legend while emphasising the significance of preserving video game history for future generations of players and scholars.

First released in 2006, Tomb Raider Legend follows Lara Croft down a path of discovery as she travels the globe to remote, exotic locales in search of one of history's greatest artefacts, while confronting unwelcome figures from her mysterious past. With guns blazing, Lara must use her athletic ability and intellectual wits to explore vast, treacherous tombs, riddled with challenging puzzles and deadly traps.
