STORY KITCHEN EXPLORES TOMB RAIDER ADAPTATIONS AT LONDON GAMES FESTIVAL
[ 31 March 2026 ]
London Games Festival will showcase the creative process behind Tomb Raider adaptations, with Story Kitchen's Dmitri M. Johnson and Dallas Dickinson presenting insights into translating the iconic franchise to screen. Their participation forms part of the third edition of the festival's Screen Play conference, which examines the intersection of games, film, television, and animation, emphasising the role of worldbuilding in cross-industry collaboration.
The festival's expanded Games Finance Market, held across 14-15 April, offers a business-to-business platform for studios to engage with publishers and investors, with over 247 million UK pounds in potential investment available. Poncle, the BAFTA-winning studio behind Vampire Survivors, will deliver a keynote interview with Matteo Sapio discussing independent game development, alongside the launch of Games London's Self-Publishing Toolkit and accompanying live sessions providing practical guidance to developers seeking to publish without traditional intermediaries.
Day two features the inaugural UK edition of Games for Change London, a summit dedicated to leveraging games and immersive media for social impact. The programme brings together 44 speakers from industry and civil society, including representatives from Roblox, Good Game Club, Catalyst, and UNICEF.
Screen Play, taking place on 15 April, explores the increasingly complex relationship between the screen industries of games, film, television, animation, and related media. As part of this event, Story Kitchen will deliver a session on Tomb Raider, providing insights into their work in bringing new iterations of the franchise to the screen.
London Games Festival is supported by the Mayor of London and UK Government. It is delivered by Games London, an initiative from Film London, the capital's screen industries agency. For further information, visit the official Games London website.
