SOPHIE TURNER PHOTOGRAPHED FILMING FOR TOMB RAIDER SERIES IN SURREY

The Daily Mail has published new photographs of Sophie Turner filming action sequences for the forthcoming live-action Tomb Raider television series in Surrey on Monday, in which she portrays British adventurer and archaeologist Lara Croft. The English actress was observed moving through woodland while holding two firearms, as the production crew captured both close-up and wide shots of the scene.

During the sequence, Turner reportedly took cover against the wall of a stone building concealed among the trees and was filmed throwing a weapon through a small window as part of the dramatic set-piece.

For the role, Turner adopted Lara Croft's recognisable style, wearing a brown holster belt, khaki cargo trousers, a brown jumper, and a blue waistcoat, with her hair styled in a practical braid. The costume was completed with black knee-high boots, one of which contained a knife, and a small backpack. According to the Daily Mail, the actress was also filmed running through the woodland while being pursued by two individuals carrying firearms, indicating a high-intensity action sequence.

Turner stars alongside Sigourney Weaver, Jason Isaacs, Celia Imrie, and Bill Paterson in the live-action Tomb Raider series. The production is overseen by Amazon MGM Studios and Crystal Dynamics, with Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Jenny Robins representing Wells Street Films, alongside Dmitri M. Johnson, Michael Lawrence Goldberg, and Timothy I. Stevenson for Story Kitchen, and Michael Scheel for Legendary Television.
