ASPYR MEDIA TEASES NEW UPDATE FOR TOMB RAIDER I-VI REMASTERED
[ 9 March 2026 ]
Aspyr Media has teased a new update for Tomb Raider I-VI Remastered, scheduled for release on 12 March. A short video was shared on the official Aspyr Media X page, showing Lara Croft in a new diving suit swimming among the reeds amid aquatic life, prompting speculation among fans regarding a forthcoming patch for the remastered classic Tomb Raider series.
Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, released in February 2024, combines Tomb Raider I-III and their expansions, offering seamless switching between the original visual presentation and an enhanced graphical mode. Players may also choose between the original control scheme or a modernised alternative. The collection includes a dedicated photo mode, three-dimensional item sprites, and over 200 trophies, while preserving the original source code and engine to maintain technical and structural fidelity.
Subsequently, in February 2025, Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered updates Tomb Raider The Last Revelation, Tomb Raider Chronicles, and Tomb Raider The Angel of Darkness with improved environmental detail, refined character models, and enhanced artefacts. Players may alternate between modern and legacy graphical modes, ensuring a tailored gameplay experience, while retaining the narrative integrity and tonal qualities of the original titles. They may also choose between the original tank-style mechanics for a more authentic feel and a modernised control scheme.
