SEGA MANIA ISSUE 10 MARKS FIFTH ANNIVERSARY WITH LARA CROFT COVER

Lara Croft will feature on the cover of Issue 10 of Sega Mania, the world's best-selling retro Sega magazine, to commemorate her debut on the Sega Saturn on 24 October 1996. The forthcoming special edition marks a notable milestone for the publication and will pay tribute to the character's early association with Sega's 32-bit console. The issue is scheduled for release in June 2026 and will form part of the magazine's celebrations surrounding its fifth anniversary.

"To celebrate our 5th Anniversary, Issue 10 of Sega Mania is set to be something truly special indeed. For the first time, we will be expanding the magazine to over one hundred pages. In addition, we have commissioned cover artwork from the renowned illustrator Wil Overton, known for his work with Rare as well as publications such as Super Play and N64 Magazine. We intend to release the issue in or before June 2026 in time for our anniversary in July. Stock will be extremely limited, so readers are encouraged to preorder to secure a copy," Sega Mania announced.

Tomb Raider was originally developed by Core Design and published by Eidos Interactive in 1996. The game introduced audiences to the British adventurer Lara Croft and established a franchise that has since expanded considerably. The series now comprises eleven mainline video games, alongside numerous spin-off titles, feature films starring Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander, and an extensive range of merchandise. The video game franchise is currently overseen by Crystal Dynamics, which is also developing a new mainline Tomb Raider title using Unreal Engine 5.
