TOMB RAIDER SOCIAL UPDATES TO MASTODON 4.5.7 WITH A HOST OF IMPROVEMENTS
[ 24 February 2026 ]
Tomb Raider Social has been updated to Mastodon version 4.5.7, introducing a number of security improvements and administrative enhancements. The platform now rejects unconfirmed FASP connections and reuses a custom socket class for FASP requests, addressing identified security issues. In addition, the tootctl emoji purge tool has been updated with a new suspended-only option.
Several functional issues have also been resolved. Emoji data is now correctly cached, and the deletion and redrafting of pending posts work as intended. The processing of key documents and object updates has been improved, including handling separate key documents without the ActivityStreams context and objects with duplicate hashtags. Furthermore, fixes have been applied to ensure custom emojis are purged when domains are suspended, and that users without special permissions cannot stream disabled timelines.
Built on the Mastodon platform, Tomb Raider Social offers a dedicated space for fans of the Tomb Raider series to connect, share content, and engage in creative discussion. Unlike traditional social media, it operates on a decentralised, open-source model, allowing independent servers to set their own rules and manage their communities. The platform emphasises user autonomy, privacy, and community moderation, providing a chronological, ad-free experience without algorithmic interference.
