SOPHIE TURNER BATTLES THE RAIN FILMING TOMB RAIDER NIGHT SCENES

The Daily Mail has published a second set of photographs of Sophie Turner as Lara Croft, filmed in heavy rain during knife-fight scenes for the forthcoming Tomb Raider series. The images show the actress running through woodland before making her escape on a motorbike. The scenes were shot on location as part of the latest television adaptation of the franchise.

The newspaper reported that Turner, 29, was seen sprinting between trees while brandishing a knife, before mounting a motorbike driven by her co-star Martin Bobb-Semple, 28. The wooded setting had been converted into a floodlit, mud-covered set for the night shoot. Bobb-Semple will portray Zip, a technical specialist who works closely with Lara Croft.

Turner leads an ensemble cast that includes Sigourney Weaver, Jason Isaacs, Celia Imrie and Bill Paterson. The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Crystal Dynamics, with Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Jenny Robins for Wells Street Films, alongside Dmitri M. Johnson, Michael Lawrence Goldberg and Timothy I. Stevenson for Story Kitchen, and Michael Scheel for Legendary Television.
