TOMB RAIDER SOCIAL UPDATED TO MASTODON 4.5.6

Tomb Raider Social has been updated to Mastodon version 4.5.6, a release that delivers significant security and stability enhancements. A vulnerability in the ActivityPub collection caching logic, which previously failed to account for blocked accounts in pinned posts and featured tags, has been rectified, thereby enhancing the enforcement of user privacy. Additionally, the caching period for quote posts awaiting approval has been shortened, improving the timeliness of content visibility and overall system responsiveness.

Several bug fixes have been implemented to ensure a smoother and more reliable user experience. The relationship cache now correctly clears during account migrations, and the cancel button for quote posts functions consistently after edits followed by delete-and-redraft actions. Followers with profile subscriptions are no longer erroneously notified of post edits, and errors arising from invalid tags in updated objects have been resolved. Cross-server conversation tracking has been corrected, and recycled connections are now promptly closed, addressing both functionality and resource management concerns.

Tomb Raider Social is built on Mastodon, a decentralised, open-source platform that allows users to run independent servers with their own rules and communities. Designed for fans of the Tomb Raider series, it provides a hub for discussion, creativity, and content sharing. Unlike conventional social media, Mastodon prioritises user autonomy, privacy, and community moderation, offering a chronological, ad-free experience without algorithmic interference.
