TOMB RAIDER SOCIAL UPDATED TO MASTODON 4.5.5

Tomb Raider Social has been updated to Mastodon version 4.5.5, a maintenance release focused primarily on security and technical correctness. It addresses several flaws in the handling of federated data, including missing limits and incomplete access checks, and resolves an issue that could allow suspended remote accounts to evade enforcement in certain circumstances. Validation of user-supplied fields has been strengthened, and deletion behaviour has been adjusted so that records are not created unnecessarily when content is already absent.

The release also rectifies a range of defects affecting reliability and consistency. Errors triggered by reblogs of deleted posts have been corrected, as have multiple issues in the handling of quote posts and their associated settings. Additional changes enhance the safety of ActivityPub processing, address problems in caching and signature parsing, and reduce unnecessary complexity in a database query used for bulk status removal. Minor interface and rendering faults, including an issue affecting the mobile administration view and the display of certain emoji variants, have also been resolved.
