[ 19 January 2026 ]
Sixty-six frames from the Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis announcement trailer have been published in 4K, capturing the game's environments, cinematic action, and iconic moments in razor-sharp detail. These images offer a clear preview of the visual quality and atmosphere of the upcoming reimagining of Lara Croft's original adventure.
Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis, developed by Crystal Dynamics in partnership with Flying Wild Hog, is a reimagining of the 1996 Tomb Raider game. Built from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5, it features redesigned environments, modernised gameplay mechanics, immersive sound design, and new surprises, while remaining faithful to the spirit of the original title. The game is scheduled for release in 2026 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
The year 2026 also marks the 30th anniversary of the Tomb Raider series. Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis provides an opportunity to honour Lara Croft's beginnings and introduce her debut adventure to a new generation of players. The published frames reflect the care taken in reimagining the classic experience with enhanced visual fidelity and cinematic presentation.
