TOMB RAIDER EXPERIENCE SEATTLE CEASES OPERATIONS ON HISTORIC WATERFRONT
[ 19 January 2026 ]
Tomb Raider Experience Seattle, an escape room-style attraction located on Seattle's downtown waterfront, has closed. The attraction operated from November 2024 until December 2025. The organisers acknowledged their time in the city in a short statement published on the official website.
Tomb Raider Experience Seattle was developed as a joint venture between Hourglass Attractions and Crystal Dynamics. The project was intended to present an interactive experience based on the Tomb Raider franchise, distinct from previous adaptations of the brand.
The attraction, titled Tomb Raider Experience Seattle Escape from the Temple of Fire, offered a 90-minute experience in which participants assumed the role of allies assisting the character Lara Croft. The narrative involved protecting a powerful artefact while evading pursuit by the fictional corporation Natla Technologies. The experience incorporated physical sets, puzzles, and live performers to support the storyline.
The attraction formed part of a broader trend towards location-based entertainment drawing on established intellectual properties. No announcement has been made regarding a replacement attraction at the site.
