TOMB RAIDER SOCIAL UPDATED TO MASTODON 4.5.3

Tomb Raider Social has been updated to Mastodon version 4.5.3, a maintenance release focused on security hardening and the correction of a range of functional defects affecting posting, navigation, and background operations.

A series of reliability fixes have been applied across core posting and interaction features. These include corrections to the Delete and Redraft function misclassifying some posts as quotes, failures in the hydration of quoted polls, and errors that could lead to duplicate conversations. Media and link handling has also been improved, with YouTube embeds restored through proper referer handling and unnecessary noreferrer attributes removed from external links.

Further changes improve overall stability and administrative reliability. Error handling has been tightened in database migrations and when re-fetching already-known posts, navigation issues in single-column mode with the Advanced UI enabled have been resolved, and command-line tools have been corrected to prevent unintended removal of quoted content. Collectively, these changes prioritise robustness and correctness rather than introducing new user-facing features.

Tomb Raider Social is built on Mastodon, a decentralised, open-source platform that lets users run independent servers with their own rules and communities. Designed for fans of the Tomb Raider series, it serves as a hub for discussion, creativity, and content sharing. Unlike conventional social media, Mastodon prioritises user autonomy, privacy, and community moderation, offering a chronological, ad-free experience without algorithmic interference.
