TOMB RAIDER UNDERWORLD MARKS SEVENTEEN-YEAR ANNIVERSARY

November has traditionally been a notable month for Tomb Raider releases, and today marks the seventeenth anniversary of the North American launch of Tomb Raider Underworld. Developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Eidos Interactive, Tomb Raider Underworld was released for Windows, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Nintendo Wii and DS on 18 November 2008.

In Tomb Raider Underworld, British adventurer Lara Croft explores the ruins of ancient civilisations, gathering clues that lead her to a long-forgotten power capable of causing widespread destruction. Making full use of the capabilities of the then-new gaming hardware, Lara undertakes an archaeological journey through the ancient netherworlds of the Mediterranean, Thailand, Mexico, the Arctic Sea, and other locations. Players are required to solve complex puzzles and confront both animal and supernatural adversaries, aided by enhanced weapons and improved abilities as they progress through the game's expansive environments.

A selection of assets featuring Lara Croft in Tomb Raider Underworld is available to enjoy, complemented by material originally released as part of Tomb Raider 25, the celebration of twenty-five years of Lara Croft and the Tomb Raider series.
