TOMB RAIDER ANNIVERSARY CONFIRMED FOR PLAYSTATION PLUS PREMIUM IN NOVEMBER
[ 12 November 2025 ]
Sony has confirmed that Tomb Raider Anniversary will be added to the PlayStation Plus Premium library in November 2025. Originally released in June 2007 for the PlayStation 2, the title will become available on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 as part of the PlayStation Plus Classics initiative. This release represents an emulated version of the original PlayStation 2 game, now playable on modern hardware for the first time.
Upon its initial release, Tomb Raider Anniversary was launched for the PlayStation 2 and Windows PCs, with subsequent versions issued for the PlayStation Portable, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, and Mac. The game received favourable reviews, commended for its respectful reinterpretation of the series' beginnings and for reintroducing the character of Lara Croft to a new audience. Its combination of familiar level design and contemporary technology earned it a distinct place within the franchise's extensive history.
Its inclusion on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 marks the latest addition to Sony's PlayStation Plus Classics collection, which presents notable titles from earlier generations of the platform for modern systems.
