LARA CROFT AND THE GUARDIAN OF LIGHT CONFIRMED FOR GAME PASS RELEASE

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will be added to Game Pass on 30 September 2025. Players assume the roles of Lara Croft and her ally Totec, a Mayan tribesman, as they seek to recover the ancient artefact known as the Mirror of Smoke in this action-adventure title. The game will be available through Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and the standard Game Pass subscription.

Developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix Europe, the release was originally notable as the first Tomb Raider title to be distributed exclusively in digital format. Unlike earlier entries in the series, it adopted an isometric perspective rather than the traditional third-person viewpoint.

The game combines exploration, puzzle-solving, and platforming with combat and co-operative play. Set in Central America, it challenges players to traverse tombs, avoid traps, and confront adversaries inspired by Mayan mythology, including the resurrection of the god Xolotl and his army of undead warriors.
