BAFTA GAMES IN CONCERT TO FEATURE TOMB RAIDER LEGEND SCORE
[ 11 September 2025 ]
The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has announced BAFTA Games in Concert, a live performance event celebrating two decades of BAFTA-nominated and award-winning video game music. The concert will be conducted by American composer Austin Wintory and will take place at the Royal Festival Hall in London on Saturday 31 January 2026.
The programme will include Tomb Raider Legend, composed by Troels Brun Folmann and performed by the BBC Concert Orchestra under Wintory's direction. Folmann's score for Tomb Raider Legend has long been recognised within gaming and soundtrack circles, but it has rarely been presented in an orchestral concert setting. Its inclusion in BAFTA Games in Concert will allow audiences to hear its themes, instrumentation and textures in a live environment, where details less prominent during gameplay can be more clearly appreciated.
The BBC Concert Orchestra, conducted by Wintory, will perform the music from Tomb Raider Legend alongside other well-known game scores including Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, Baldur's Gate 3, Hitman Contracts, Assassin's Creed, Cuphead and Journey.
