Tomb Raider Chronicles - CRYSTAL DYNAMICS ISSUES STATEMENTS ON NEW TOMB RAIDER SERIES

Crystal Dynamics has released statements from Sophie Turner, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Vernon Sanders following the announcement that Turner will portray Lara Croft in Amazon MGM Studios' forthcoming Tomb Raider series. The series is executive produced by Crystal Dynamics; Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Jenny Robins through Wells Street Productions; Dmitri M. Johnson, Mike Goldberg and Timothy I. Stevenson through Story Kitchen; Michael Scheel; and Legendary Television. Production on the series is scheduled to commence on 19 January 2026.

Sophie Turner commented: "I am thrilled beyond measure to be playing Lara Croft. She's such an iconic character, who means so much to so many - and I am giving everything I've got. They're massive shoes to fill, following in the steps of Angelina and Alicia with their powerhouse performances, but with Phoebe at the helm, we (and Lara) are all in very safe hands. I can't wait for you all to see what we have cooking."

Phoebe Waller-Bridge added: "I'm so excited to announce the formidable Sophie Turner as our Lara alongside this phenomenal creative team.
