TOMB RAIDER SOCIAL UPDATED TO MASTODON 4.3.9

Tomb Raider Social has been updated to Mastodon 4.3.9 and is now accepting connections. In the latest update, several improvements and fixes have been rolled out to enhance stability and user experience. Video passthrough processing has been updated to emit the moov atom at the beginning of playback, improving compatibility. A range of bugs have been addressed, including a rare error in emoji caching, issues with deleted replies in moderation view, and search operators occasionally disappearing.

The update also resolves problems such as the Alt text button unintentionally submitting forms, incorrect handling of remote attachments with multiple media types, and blocked accounts still appearing in trending statuses. Additional fixes cover inconsistent filtering of silenced accounts, problems with featured collections in ActivityPub actor objects, admin dashboard crashes related to Elasticsearch, OIDC account creation failures with long display names, and incorrect video dimensions in rotated clips. Other tweaks include ensuring the share page respects character limits and restoring missing autofocus on the boost modal.

Tomb Raider Social is powered by Mastodon, a decentralised social media platform that operates on an open-source model, allowing users to create and manage their own servers, or "instances," with varying rules and themes. Unlike traditional platforms, Mastodon emphasises user control, privacy, and community governance, offering chronological, ad-free, and non-algorithmic user feeds.
