STORY KITCHEN RENEWS TV DEAL WITH AMAZON MGM STUDIOS

Story Kitchen has renewed its first-look television deal with Amazon MGM Studios, continuing their partnership focused on adapting video games and other unconventional IP into TV and film, Variety reports. The company, founded in 2022 by Dmitri M. Johnson, Mike Goldberg, and Timothy I. Stevenson, is currently producing a live-action Tomb Raider series created by Phoebe Waller-Bridge for Amazon.

In addition to its Amazon projects, Story Kitchen is involved in Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, an animated series for Netflix now gearing up for a second series. The company's leadership expressed enthusiasm about extending their collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios, emphasising their shared passion for bringing high-quality video game stories to the screen.

Tomb Raider, first released in 1996, is a long-running video game series centred on archaeologist Lara Croft. Known for its mix of exploration, puzzles, and action, the franchise features strong narrative elements and a distinct lead character, making it well-suited for adaptation across film, television, and other media.
