TOMB RAIDER CROSSOVER WITH PINBALL FX ANNOUNCED
[ 8 May 2025 ]
Zen Studios has announced a forthcoming crossover for Pinball FX, integrating elements from the acclaimed Tomb Raider franchise. Tomb Raider Pinball is set to launch on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on 19 June, and will introduce two newly developed tables: Adventures of Lara Croft and Secrets of Croft Manor. Designed to reinterpret the action-adventure series through the lens of pinball mechanics, the crossover allows players to engage with familiar locations and characters in a novel, interactive format. The announcement was revealed via the official PlayStation Blog.
The Adventures of Lara Croft table revisits several of the protagonist's most iconic expeditions, including sites such as the jungles of Peru, the pyramids of Egypt, and the caves of Tibet. Notable antagonists including Natla and Werner Von Croy make appearances throughout, while gameplay is enhanced by a third-person shooting sequence featuring Lara's signature dual pistols. Missions are selected using a globe-themed interface, with additional features such as 'Survivor Wizard Mode' and multi-ball challenges that aim to capture the sense of discovery and peril associated with the franchise.
The Secrets of Croft Manor table centres on Lara's ancestral home, transforming the estate into an intricate pinball environment. It incorporates a variety of interactive components, including a rotating fireplace, hidden chambers, agility courses, and puzzle-based gameplay. Long-time fans may appreciate familiar elements such as the library's spiral staircase and the presence of the Croft family butler, Winston. Drawing on the aesthetic and narrative details of the series, the table offers a detailed and nostalgic experience intended to appeal to both returning players and newcomers alike.
