EVERCADE EXPLORES THE ORIGINS OF LARA CROFT'S BACKPACK

Blaze Entertainment has released a new short video exploring how British adventurer Lara Croft discovered her iconic backpack in Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation. The video, taken from the upcoming Tomb Raider Collection 2 on the Evercade retro gaming platform, was shared on the official Evercade X page.

Originally launched as a handheld console in 2020, Evercade now boasts over 50 physical cartridge collections and more than 500 games across multiple devices. The latest addition, the Evercade EXP-R, is a handheld system available globally, bundled with the Tomb Raider Collection 1 cartridge. Meanwhile, the Evercade VS-R home console, also packaged with the same cartridge, is now available through Amazon and various retailers worldwide.

For arcade fans, Evercade has introduced the Alpha bartop arcade system, which features competition-grade controls and six built-in Capcom games. It remains fully compatible with Evercade's cartridge library, allowing players to expand their collection with classic titles. Evercade's commitment to physical media sets it apart, offering bespoke cartridges housed in retro-style clamshell cases, each including a full-colour manual with insights and gameplay tips. By embracing nostalgia with modern hardware, Evercade continues to cater to gamers who appreciate the charm of physical collections alongside the convenience of emulation.

Tomb Raider Collection 2 is scheduled for release in April 2025 and includes Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation and Tomb Raider Chronicles. For more information, including a list of retailers where you can pre-order, visit the official Evercade website.
