Tomb Raider Chronicles - TOMB RAIDER CHRONICLES YEAR IN REVIEW FOR 2024

Tomb Raider Chronicles published 328 articles in 2024, which can be viewed using our internal search engine as part of our year in review. Since coming online in July 2000, Tomb Raider Chronicles has published 11,623 pages, of which 5,074 are news articles and 78,327 images. Our primary goal is to deliver handcrafted news and media on Lara Croft and Tomb Raider, and to archive Tomb Raider one pixel at a time by maintaining a public record of the happenings in and around the Tomb Raider universe.

Highlights in 2024 include the release of Tomb Raider I-III Remastered in February, which was 'positively received and performed above management expectations,' according to comments from Embracer Group. Tomb Raider Collection 1 was released on the Evercade platform in August. The classic Tomb Raider series includes the first three Lara Croft-helmed video games developed by Core Design, comprising Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider II, and Tomb Raider III, in their original 32-bit console form.

Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft released in October and follows Lara Croft as she returns home from her solo adventures abroad, only to find that a dangerous and powerful Chinese artefact has been stolen from Croft Manor. Tomb Raider Experience Seattle opened its doors in November in a joint venture between Hourglass Attractions and Crystal Dynamics, aiming to offer a new and authentic Tomb Raider escape-room style experience.

Looking ahead to 2025, we are excited about the release of Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered in February, Tomb Raider Colossal Collection Volume 1 from Dark Horse, scheduled to release in June, a second season of Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft from Legendary Television, as well as updates on the live-action Tomb Raider series from Amazon MGM Studios. Crystal Dynamics are busy developing the next mainline Tomb Raider video game, powered by Unreal Engine 5, and we hope to see an update on progress.
