ASPYR MEDIA SAYS REMASTERED TOMB RAIDER A LOVE LETTER TO SERIES
[ 20 December 2024 ]
Aspyr Media's Brand Manager, Matthew Ray, has told Game Rant he hopes the remastered Tomb Raider video-games will feel like 'a love letter to the series, a chance to relive cherished memories in a way that feels fresh yet faithful,' and says Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered is a celebration of Lara Croft's legacy.
"For longtime fans, I hope these remasters feel like a love letter to the series, a chance to relive cherished memories in a way that feels fresh yet faithful. For newcomers, I hope this collection serves as an exciting introduction to Lara Croft's darker, more introspective adventures. Ultimately, we want every player to come away with a renewed appreciation for how revolutionary these games were and how much they've contributed to gaming." Matthew Ray tells Game Rant.
Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered is scheduled for release in February 2025 and will feature remastered visuals that breathe new life to environments, characters, and artefacts, with the option to toggle between classic and modern graphics on the fly. The remastered classic Tomb Raider series, originally developed by British studio Core Design, will also include a variety of gameplay enhancements, including the choice between modern controls (inspired by later entries in the series) or classic tank-style controls.
