TOMB RAIDER II MARKS TWENTY-SEVEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Arguably the finest title in the series, Tomb Raider II: Starring Lara Croft marks the twenty-seventh anniversary of its release on Windows and PlayStation. Developed by Core Design and published by Eidos Interactive, Tomb Raider II follows Lara Croft as she travels the globe in search of a magical artefact, the Dagger of Xian, said to grant its possessor the power of a fire-breathing dragon. The Fiamma Nera, led by Marco Bartoli, is also seeking the artefact and will stop at nothing to retrieve it.

This second instalment of Tomb Raider retains the charm and atmosphere of the original, while introducing exciting new features. Lara faces a greater number of enemies than she did before, resulting in action-packed and often challenging combat sequences. A new Lara Croft game model has been introduced, along with somewhat improved graphics; and let's not forget the addition of a brand new arsenal.

Unlike the original Tomb Raider, this instalment features more human enemies. However, there is no shortage of non-human adversaries, such as statues that spring to life when Lara approaches them, deadly underwater creatures, birds, bats, spiders, and so on. The T-Rex also makes a dramatic return, although finding this classic enemy might require some skill.

Take a trip down memory lane and enjoy a plethora of assets showcasing Lara Croft in Tomb Raider II, bolstered by content released as part of Tomb Raider 25, a celebration of 25 years of Lara Croft and Tomb Raider.
