GDEV Inc. CEO Andrey Fadeev has told Silicon Canals a recent cross-promotion between Hero Wars and Tomb Raider attracted over 500,000 new players, boosted brand visibility and resulted in a financial uplift with a high return on investment.
"We are actively experimenting with new media formats, like collaborations, animations, and webcomics, to help attract new audiences. For example, we recently partnered with Embracer to feature Lara Croft in Hero Wars, receiving positive feedback from our community," Andrey Fadeev tells Silicon Canals.
"The collaboration brought in over 500,000 new players and resulted in a financial uplift with a high ROI. The success of this collaboration not only boosted our brand visibility but also provided valuable experience, opening the door for future partnerships."
Hero Wars is an online role-playing fantasy video-game developed by Nexters Global. Launched in 2016, the Android, iOS and web-based video-game boasts 7M monthly active users, 200+ million installs worldwide and has generated over 2B USD in cumulative bookings. In May of 2024, Hero Wars partnered with Tomb Raider to offer players unique skins and other promotional items.
