AMAZON MGM STUDIOS BEGINS TESTING FOR LARA CROFT

Deadline is reporting that Sophie Turner (Game Of Thrones) and Lucy Boynton (Bohemian Rhapsody) will test for the role of Lara Croft in Amazon MGM Studios' live-action Tomb Raider series. Phoebe Waller-Bridge is attached as writer and executive producer, alongside dj2 Entertainment, Wells Street Productions, Legendary Television and Crystal Dynamics.

In May of this year, Crystal Dynamics announced that Lara Croft is coming to Amazon Prime Video in a new Tomb Raider live-action series. Amazon Studios boss Jennifer Salke told Variety in October that Tomb Raider is in production and Phoebe Waller-Bridge is 'working in close partnership with Tomb Raider General Manager Dallas Dickinson and the game producers.'

"Fans and newcomers can look forward to exhilarating adventures that honour the legacy of this iconic character," Jennifer Salke said in May.
