LARA CROFT WILL DEAL WITH GRIEF IN TOMB RAIDER ANIME

Tomb Raider anime showrunner Tasha Huo has told Nerdist that Lara Croft will deal with grief in the first season of Tomb Raider The Legend of Lara Croft and will power through some tough emotions to become her best self. The full interview with Tashu Huo can be read online, courtesy of Nerdist.

"Lara has been burdened with grief since the 90s, but I feel like she's never fully gotten over it. And I wanted to move past it, to be honest, so that she could start working on other things, but it felt like we still had to address it. So in this first season, she is dealing with grief and we watch her power through to figure out how to become her best self after that so Lara can start working on other sh*t." Tasha Huo told Nerdist.

Tomb Raider The Legend of Lara Croft follows on from the events of Shadow of the Tomb Raider and will chart the globe-trotting heroine's next chapter as the iconic adventurer. More than 25 years after her first appearance, Lara Croft, voiced by Hayley Atwell, continues to explore ancient mysteries and uncover lost truths across breathtaking and dangerous destinations.
