EMBRACER GROUP TO CONTINUE TO DEVELOP TOMB RAIDER IP

Embracer Group will continue to develop the Tomb Raider intellectual property following the announcement of a new partnership between Crystal Dynamics and Amazon MGM Studios to create new films and TV series based on the popular Lara Croft-helmed franchise.

"New Tomb Raider stories in streaming and film will allow us to further nurture and grow another unique IP, taking it to new heights. Strong partners, such as Warner Bros. Discovery and Amazon MGM Studios, that complement our capabilities are an important part of our IP strategy." Embracer Group stated during the interim report for Q4 2023/24, the period January-March 2024.

Earlier in May, Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics announced that Lara Croft is coming to Amazon Prime Video in a new Tomb Raider live-action series. Phoebe Waller-Bridge has been confirmed as Writer and Executive Producer.
