TOMB RAIDER I-III REMASTERED PERFORMED ABOVE EXPECTATIONS
[ 23 May 2024 ]
Tomb Raider I-III Remastered was "positively received and performed above management expectations," Embracer Group has announced in the interim report for the fourth quarter, the period January-March 2024. The classic Tomb Raider series helped boost revenue from new releases to SEK 692 million in the quarter, an increase of 27% YoY.
Embracer Group added that their "resources within PC and Console are increasingly focused towards our own and controlled key IPs, such as Darksiders, Dead Island, Deep Rock Galactic, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Killing Floor, The Lord of the Rings, Metro, Remnant, Satisfactory, Tomb Raider, Wreckfest and many others. Through this year and next, we expect our updated capital allocation process, with improved standards for new and continued investment, to drive improving ROI from new game releases, as our pipeline increasingly consists of higher quality games."
Developed by Aspyr Media, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered released in February of 2024 and comes with all expansions and secret levels. Players can toggle between original and enhanced graphics and switch between classic and modern joystick control schemes. The classic Tomb Raider series also includes photo mode, 3D item sprite replacements, over 200 trophies and makes use of the original source code and engine.
