CLASSIC TOMB RAIDER GAMES SCORE TITLE UPDATE
[ 18 January 2024 ]
The first three Tomb Raider games developed by Core Design have been given an official name change on Steam ahead of the release of Tomb Raider I-III Remastered. Tomb Raider (1996), Tomb Raider II (1997) and Tomb Raider III (1998) have had their year of release appended to their official product title in an update pushed through in late 2023.
Tomb Raider, starring British archaeologist Lara Croft, was originally developed by Derbyshire-based studio Core Design and published by Eidos Interactive on 24th of October, 1996. Aspyr Media is restoring Tomb Raider I, Tomb Raider II and Tomb Raider III and will release Tomb Raider I-III Remastered on 14th of February, 2024.
The mainline Tomb Raider series is currently under the aegis of U.S. studio Crystal Dynamics who is developing a new multi-platform Tomb Raider title with Amazon Games providing full support and publishing the game globally.
