[ 20 September 2023 ]
As part of the restructuring plans announced in June by Embracer Group, Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics has parted ways with a number of employees. The studio took to X to reach out to prospective employers looking for talent.
"Crystal Dynamics made the difficult decision to part ways with 9 Brand/Marketing employees and 1 IT employee today due to an internal restructuring to align the studio with our current business needs. We are working directly with the employees affected to fully support them."
"The impacted positions are across Brand direction, Creative Services, and Community. If you have applicable positions open at your studio, please pass them along to peoplexp@crystald.com and we will ensure the information ends up in the right hands." Crystal Dynamics said in a statement.
In June of this year, Embracer Group announced a comprehensive restructuring program with immediate implementation. As part of the restructuring program, Phil Rogers was appointed interim Chief Strategy Officer and Matthew Karch was appointed interim Chief Operating Officer. The restructuring program was announced following the collapse of a two-billion dollar deal with an unnamed suitor.
