Paramount
Pictures Lara Croft: Tomb Raider motion picture
released across the United States last Friday
raking in $48.2 million on it's opening weekend,
and movie Director Simon West has reportedly already
spoken to Oscar winning Lara Croft star Angelina
Jolie on a series of Tomb Raider sequels:
"When
a movie is over, you normally don't want to see
that character again. That's the last thing you
need," Simon West told information carrier Ananova,
"but we were both talking about our schedules
in terms of making another. Angelina said she
really felt at home with Lara, which is weird
because this woman keeps knives and guns under
her bed. Then I thought about it and realised
that, like Lara, Angelina doesn't take s*** from
anybody. I think she's a genius."
Lara
Croft: Tomb Raider chronicles the adventures of
a British archaeologist [Jolie] sent on a quest
for an ancient time-travelling device called the
Clock of Ages. Helmed by acclaimed Director Simon
West, plans are already underway for two sequels
after both West and Jolie confirmed earlier this
year that they would continue with the three-movie
deal.
