EIDOS SHANGHAI BECOMES GEARBOX STUDIO SHANGHAI

Gearbox Software has announced Eidos Shanghai is now Gearbox Studio Shanghai. Eidos Shanghai previously worked with Crystal Dynamics on Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Gigi Ning, who previously led Eidos Shanghai, will continue leading the studio as General Manager and report into Gearbox Publishing San Francisco.
Embracer Group, owners of Gearbox Entertainment, acquired development studios Crystal Dynamics, Eidos-Montreal, Square Enix Montreal, and a catalogue of IPs including Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, Thief, Legacy of Kain and more than 50 back-catalogue games from Square Enix earlier this year.
A presentation "in connection with the publication of the interim report for the second quarter, the period July-September 2022" will be held on 17 November, 2022 in Stockholm with CEO Lars Wingefors, CFO and Deputy CEO Johan Ekstrom, and Head of sustainability Emma Ihre in attendance.
