ALICIA VIKANDER READY TO REPRISE LARA CROFT ROLE

Alicia Vikander has given an interview to Entertainment Weekly on her role in the HBO series Irma Vep and has spoken of her readiness to reprise her role as Lara Croft in a sequel to the rebooted Tomb Raider motion picture.

When asked about playing Lara Croft, Alicia Vikander told Entertainment Weekly: "With the MGM and Amazon buyout, I have no clue. Now it's kind of politics. I think Misha and I have been ready, so it's kind of in somebody else's hands, to be honest."

Prior to the acquisition, Misha Green, executive producer of supernatural series Lovecraft Country on HBO, had been hired by MGM to write and direct the rebooted Tomb Raider motion picture sequel with Alicia Vikander onboard to reprise her role as Lara Croft.
