LARA CROFT AND TOMB RAIDER CASINO GAMES HISTORY
[ 20 October 2021 ]
In October 2004, Microgaming inked a deal with Eidos to license Tomb Raider and released the first Lara Croft-themed five-reel, 15-payline, multiple coin video slot complete with free spins at Spin Palace, Ruby Fortune and Vegas Partner Lounge Online.
The deal would see Tomb Raider become the first casino game to feature on SpinLite from Spin3, a wireless casino system provider powered by Microgaming, in 2006. SpinLite would enable consumers to download the Tomb Raider slot onto their mobile phone, paying per download.
In October 2008, Microgaming announced a follow-up Lara Croft-themed five-reel 30-pay-line video slot called Tomb Raider Secret of the Sword. Secret of the Sword was billed as offering almost photo-realistic graphics, stunning sound effects and dynamic 3D action.
Microgaming renewed its agreement to produce a third branded online slot game based on Lara Croft in January 2019 and announced Lara Croft Temples and Tombs, sending players on an exhilarating adventure in search of untold fortunes in this five-reel, 243-ways online slot.
