Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics has released a brand new video showcasing early exploration of what the Tomb Raider reboot might look like before the team landed on the idea of an origin story. The video has been produced as part of Tomb Raider 25, a celebration of 25 years of Lara Croft and Tomb Raider.
"Even before Tomb Raider: Underworld launched, Crystal Dynamics was exploring what Lara's future could hold. Prior to landing on the idea of an origin story, the studio tested a wide array of gameplay concepts & mechanics to see what felt fresh and exciting – including melee combat, horse riding, and even a companion system."
The official Tomb Raider blog will also be updated throughout the month with a retrospective look back at the Tomb Raider reboot.
