According
to industry sources closely monitoring the pulse
of Paramount Pictures upcoming summer blockbuster,
word has rumoured to have beaded it's way down
Paramount Mountain that film critics have allegedly
been forbidden to review their Tomb Raider motion
picture before it's premiere June 15th. Up against
the likes of Pearl Harbour and The Mummy Returns
in it's bid to reach the Paramount summit, these
unconfirmed rumours suggest that the studio suits
are already running scared from the press, amid
a flurry of suggestions that production staff
have been burning the midnight oil in a frantic
attempt the ready the film in time for Mondays
press event.
Either
way, Paramount Pictures have remained true to
their word by announcing their most ambitious
advertising campaign to date, magnetising the
likes of Ericcson, Pepsi, Taco Bell and Land Rover
who have joined forces to associate their brands
with Core Designs phenomenally successful Tomb
Raider video game series. Born into wealth and
groomed at the most elite schools, Angelina Jolie
stars as intrepid British aristocrat Lara Croft,
travelling the globe to dangerous and mysterious
locales in search of rare, lost crypts and long-forgotten
empires. Tomb Raider the movie premieres across
the U.S. June 15th, coming to European shores
July 6th.
