MISHA GREEN TO WRITE AND DIRECT NEXT TOMB RAIDER

MGM has announced Misha Green will write and direct the rebooted Tomb Raider motion picture sequel with Alicia Vikander onboard to reprise her role as Lara Croft, Deadline reports. Both MGM and Graham King will produce. Misha Green is best known as executive producer of supernatural series Lovecraft Country on HBO.

Alicia Vikander recently gave an update on a sequel to the Roar Uthaug-helmed Tomb Raider reboot during press for The Glorias, via entertainment news outlet Cinema Blend. "The plan was for us to start making one this year, of course due to the situation, that's now very different. We still are in discussions about it, so I hope we can probably get to it next year. (2021) " the star told Good Morning America.
