SQUARE ENIX PUBLISHES REVISED FRANCHISE NUMBERS

Square Enix has published revised sales numbers for its most popular franchise titles including Tomb Raider, now under the aegis of Eidos Montreal. In pole position is Final Fantasy with combined sales of 135 million units worldwide. This is followed by Dragon Quest with combined sales of 75 million units worldwide and Tomb Raider with 63 million units sold worldwide.

Today Square Enix owns a number of studios around the world including the Eidos group of companies and California-based Crystal Dynamics. The company was formed following the merger of Square and Enix in 2002. Square Enix will use Electronic Entertainment Expo 2018 (E3) to showcase a number of titles currently in development including Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Lara Croft's 12th outing.
