LARA CROFT TO KEEP SIGNATURE BOW
IN TOMB RAIDER

Lara Croft may be keeping her
signature bow in place of her iconic dual pistols in
Shadow of the Tomb Raider but this doesn't mean Crystal
Dynamics are not paying homage to classic elements of
the series. The studio hopped onto Tomb
Raider Forums to clarify their position.
"Hey folks, I wanted to address
a statement made in a recent interview with Official
Xbox Magazine. When we confirmed that Lara would not
receive her dual pistols in Shadow of the Tomb Raider,
we didn't choose the best language to describe our rationale
behind this decision.
"Tomb Raider has a wonderful
history, and we always strive to pay respectful homage
to classic elements, seen through the survival action
lens of our modern reboot. We're grateful for the passion
that all of you bring, and can't wait to share more
of the game with you."
Shadow of the Tomb Raider sees
Lara Croft master a deadly jungle, overcome terrifying
tombs and persevere through her darkest hour as she
races to save the world from a Maya apocalypse. Created
by a team of veteran Tomb Raider developers at Eidos-Montreal,
in collaboration with Crystal Dynamics, the game will
be available on September 14, 2018.
