Sci Entertainment Group - publishers of Tomb Raider, Hitman and a string of successful IPs - confirmed today the firm is still in negotiations on a possible takeover by unnamed parties. The group also registered a 14% increase in sales in the first quarter of FY08.

"As stated at our preliminary results announcement in September, our major product launches planned for this financial year will target next-generation consoles which benefit from strong software pricing and margins. Therefore a key focus during the first quarter was completing the development of Kane and Lynch: Dead Men (for Playstation3, Xbox 360 and PC) and Tomb Raider Anniversary (for Wii and Xbox 360)."

"Tomb Raider: Anniversary was successfully launched on Xbox 360 in both the US and Europe in October and on Nintendo Wii on 13 November in the US. It will launch on Nintendo Wii in Europe on 7 December. A trading update for the six months ending 31 December 2007 will be issued in late January 2008"
