EIDOS PLC ANNOUNCES NEW APPOINTMENT

Eidos Interactive, one of the world’s leading publishers and developers of entertainment software, is pleased to announce the appointment of Markus Schuetze as Marketing Manager and Ole Mogensen as Producer effective immediately.

Simon Protheroe, New Media and IT Director of Eidos, welcomed the latest additions to the Eidos New Media team, "Markus and Ole are a valuable addition to Eidos’ ongoing expansion in the mobile games market. With their experience and understanding of the marketplace, we are looking forward to a further increase in our sales figures across Europe."

Markus Schuetze has worked in the mobile games industry since late 2004 and has joined Eidos New Media from French mobile games company In-Fusio where he was Games Product Manager. He has coordinated and provided marketing strategies for games such as Red Out Racer, Battlestar Galactica and The Munsters Pinball.

Schuetze previously worked in the videogame industry as a Product Manager for THQ Germany in 2002. In this role he coordinated all marketing activities for the MotoGP, WWE and SpongeBob licenses, as well as working on titles including Full Spectrum Warrior, Broken Sword 3, MX Superfly, MX Unleashed and Destroy All Humans!

Ole Mogensen started working in the gaming-industry in 1990 as a producer for Danish based games company Interactivision, before co-founding Brain Bug in 1992, a small development studio and landing a contract with Rainbow Arts developing their own properties as well as doing conversions. Following the Softgold acquisition of Brain Bug in 1995 Ole continued as a producer overseeing their internal projects as well as handling external projects.

When Softgold was itself acquired by THQ, Ole was promoted to executive producer and worked on games including: Starwars, Earthworm Jim 1+2, Yager, X-Beyond the Frontier, MicroMachines, Worms mobile. In 2004 Ole joined In-Fusio where he has worked alongside Markus Schuetze over the last couple of years.
