BAFTA
award-winning composer Troels Folmann has scored
another piece of silverware for his trophy cabinet
courtesy of Danish Electronics Entertainment Expo
(D3). The Tomb
Raider Legend soundtrack beat off stiff competition
from Farcry and Hitman
to snatch Best Game Music.
Folmann
has worked on Tomb Raider Legend, Tomb
Raider Anniversary, Project
Snowblind, Defender of the Crown, Sabotage,
and Metronome. Additionally, he has a background
as a Ph.D. scholar in interactive game music with
a focus on micro-scoring, which is a methodology
for the creation of true adaptive scores.
Tomb
Raider Legend was launched on Xbox 360, Xbox,
PS2 and PC in April 2006 and on PSP in June 2006.
During the financial year Eidos
sold over 2.9 million units of Tomb Raider Legend
to retailers and distributors.
