TOMB RAIDER VILLAIN JOINS GOLF TOUR

Tomb Raider villain Simon Yam has traded in his blazing pistols for a nine iron and joined the China Golf Tour, Herald Tribune reports today. The actor - who played opposite Angelina Jolie in The Cradle of Life - hopes to encourage more celebrity involvement in the sport.

"I think the Omega China Tour probably needs more support from celebrities, and I would like to say we are ready. I think with our support for golf it will make it easier to connect with the people." Yam said.

The China Golf Tour is a development tour intended to produce players who can move up to the Asian Tour or other international tours, and to help accelerate the development of golf in the People's Republic of China.
