TOMB RAIDER ANNIVERSARY UNVEILING ?

According to a post on Tomb Raider Forums, video-games magazine Gamesmaster will spectacularly unveil the new Tomb Raider game currently being developed by U.S. studio Crystal Dynamics in next month's issue.

The feature, titled "New Tomb Raider! Exclusively revealed! See the whole of Lara's new adventure" will be published in the October edition of Gamesmaster, which will be on sale September 28, 2006.

Whether or not this actually makes the transition from promo to publication remains to be seen. This certainly wouldn't be the first time a popular video-games magazine has touted a Tomb Raider exclusive only to bail out at the last minute.

Eidos plc recently announced that the next Tomb Raider game is a one-off title to celebrate both Lara Croft and Tomb Raider, appealing not only to the loyal fans of the Tomb Raider series but also attracting a totally new audience.

Tomb Raider originally launched in 1996 and is still one of the best selling videogame franchises of all time, with over 30 million copies sold. The special '10th Anniversary Edition' of Tomb Raider will be available on PS2, PSP and PC.
