Tomb Raider star Angelina Jolie has splashed out $1.5 million on a plane after obtaining her pilots license. The Oscar winning actress reportedly bought a single-engine propeller plane to avoid being restricted by scheduled air flights.

Paramount Pictures and Eidos plc are negotiating a third Tomb Raider motion picture with Angelina Jolie returning as buxum gunslinger Lara Croft. Despite domestic indifference, Tomb Raider: The Cradle Of Life retains the crown for box-office revenue earned from a movie with a female lead.
