Project Eden, Core Designs latest multi player adventure, will be officially released September 2001 for Playstation II and PC platforms, the company announced in a press release today. Designed by the team that created the original Tomb Raider, Project Eden is a squad-based action/adventure featuring strategic puzzle solving, tactical use of equipment and innovative character interaction set in the squalid bowels of an overpopulated Earth shadowed by affluent mega-cities.

The team is initially called in to investigate problems at the 'Real Meat' factory after technicians sent to repair machinery which began to malfunction without reason mysteriously disappeared. Gameplay is either single player co-operative or up to four player network. A deathmatch option is available and an internet version is also planned Core also announced an October 2001 release for Herdy Gerdy coming to the Playstation 2 with Thunderhawk III debuting forth quarter 2001.
