SCi
has announced a placing of 3,471,920 new ordinary
shares of 5 pence each (the 'Placing Shares')
for cash with institutional investors at a price
of 500 pence per share (the 'Placing'). The Placing
Shares represent 5 per cent. Of the current issued
share capital of the Company.
The proceeds
of the Placing, amounting to £17.4 million before
expenses, will be used for product opportunities
in the casual games market, which the Company
expects to grow strongly in the next two years,
strategic acquisition opportunities to accelerate
the Company's growth in the casual games market.
SCi Entertainment
also wants to expand development of the Company's
offering in the On-Line Gaming, Mobile and Massively
Multiplayer Online ('MMO') sectors; and investment
to further build and accelerate the Group's next
generation development resources.
