LARA CROFT TAPS POSTAGE STAMP DEBUT

France has issued its citizens with a series of exclusive postage stamps featuring characters from numerous video-games, including Tomb Raider and The Sims. A portfolio featuring the complete series of stamps is now available, sporting an introduction from Sony's Ken Kutaragi.

Lara Croft (Tomb Raider), Mario (Super Mario Bros) and Link (The Legend OF Zelda) are joined by Donkey Kong and Pac-Man, and can be purchased over the counter, or direct from France's postal service.

Since Lara Croft's inception in 1996 and subsequent meteoric rise to fame and pop culture icon status, the multi-million dollar cyber-star has appeared on a whole range of merchandise, from shower gel, confectionery and sport drinks to apparel, prints and now postage stamps.
